How finite is life? One's life certainly is finite, but this is only partially true. There are four options one can choose.

1.) To be like a rain drop falling into the ocean. The raindrop is only a raindrop while it is falling and until the very moment it meets the surface. Then it becomes one with the ocean. The raindrop's definition and individuality is lost, it has no recollection of it's past life because it is waiting evaporation and it's turn to be reborn as another raindrop.
2.) The second option is to allow a Dominion to walk into you. Quite literally your soul can be replaced with that of the Dominion: the evil event makers, the manipulators, the controllers, the fear mongers, the emotional generators that profit off people's fear, insecurities, and life-force. Then after your life has been used up in Dominion service, the rewards that you were promised will certainly fall through. Instead you will be eaten alive. Swallowed whole like an abandoned building in the forest. Dominions are humans, spirits, and interdimensional beings, and also physical beings that exist within and outside various hemispheres of perception. Serving the dominion  is an option that truly ends in finiteness because when you walk out and the Dominion walks in, you won't have the energy to sustain yourself in the other realm, you will be a waveform canceled out in silence; essentially non existent.
3.) The third option is to allow another type of spirit to Chime in. A Sacred Spirit that teaches others how to be an unconditional servant to humanity, and become a dedicated opposition to the Dominion forces. Unconditional means there may not be a monetary reward like the Doninion; who use glamour, power, and sexual perversions to lure people in. It is like fishing bait, the fish who take the bate usually becomes a meal, but the Dominion never release anything that they catch. The true reward in the "third option" is the raising of your consciousness so upon death you evolve on to the next plane. To become an ascended being who has stepped out of the muck, from the depths of the Swamp and achieved stability on higher ground. Reincarnation would no longer serve you; you energy would be able to sustain yourself in the next realm. This is the path of the initiate and many become corrupted with power, money, greed, selfishness, sexual impurity, perversions, self-righteousness, and become sidetracked on the quest of increasing their frequency - Ultimately this can be avoided with vowing to purify yourself and agreeing to be an unconditional servant to all souls, all universes, all cells, all molecules, all worlds, love all souls. Love all things. The spirit of truth will step in. The Ancient Chinese Taoist called it 中孚 Chung Fu, from the I Ching hexagram 61. Which is described as wind over a lake. Essentially finding inner peace. Inner truth. The calmness of a lake will set souls free. Be the wind over the lake.
4.) The 4th option is to quite literally to leave this realm. To step sideways through the hidden door. To leave this world all together and step into another dimension. There won't be time to pack your bags, you can't tell your family goodbye. You will simply be offered a ride and have to say "yes, I am ready to go" and off you will go, out of this plane. Stepping sideways out into another plane. Heaven is sideways not up. Up is Dominion because it implies superiority, control and status over others. The spiritual journey is only 3 feet. 1 foot down from you head to your heart and 2 feet out to embrace the person closest to you.
So how finite is life? Life is not finite. Life is infinite. But consciousness and life as we are taught is not guaranteed upon death. Thinking in the perspective of living human beings who are manipulated into forced activity, tick-tocking away as unhappy loyal servants, there isn't much time available to have the opportunity for self realization. This can be changed. Yes we may die, but included in the 4th option is the opportunity for immortality. Quite physically a living breathing human who lives forever. The only way to reach immortality is by 返老还童 fan lao huan tong. Which is returning to the baby state. The Taoist of China called it white hair baby face. But the Taoist of ancient China also had the opportunity to devote their entire lives to living in harmony with the land and the freedom to do practice 8 hours a day. Refilling their lamp of their burnt out sacred liquids. Continuously refill your lamp and the light will always shine.
In the modern world we have rent to pay, cell phone bills, and expensive things to upkeep. Live simply and stress will turn to rest.

The Taoist of old lived off the land and sustained themselves with their own two hands. So to even attempt to improve the longitivtiy of your life, first balance must be achieved. Seek balance and you will live a longer life. Completely meld with Dao and you will live forever.

So how finite is life? This is only a question that each individual can answer based on the what decision they choose.

PictureWild Psilocybe Cubensis
I predict that the next medicinal plant to be liberated from government restriction and prohibition will be magic mushrooms. Psilocybin mushrooms are well known to have been safely used for thousands of years as a spiritual/psychological medicine. Mushrooms help people almost instantly overcome fear, anxiety, depression, anger, and they help achieve a deeper and more appreciative and loving perspective of life. Modern scientific research is finally admitting that the magic in the mushrooms are in fact real medicines with legitimate medicinal benefits. Just in the past decade research has shown undeniable evidence for the mushroom's ability to cure cluster headaches, PTSD, anger, anxiety, fear, depression, and it has scientifically supported the claim that psilocybin containing mushrooms can help people achieve a deeper meaning and greater appreciation for life.

Blame

A passionate, heated sense of Anger, indignation, self-righteousness, wrongdoing by another.
Caution! Focusing on the wrongdoing of another person immobilizes our ability to think clearly and to take truly beneficial action.

Remedy: I breath, calming myself. I look at the facts of the situation without the emotional coloring. Then I look at my feelings about the situation. I have realizations. I ask myself questions like :

''What were my expectations?''
''What exactly about this ticked me off?''
''What do I want?''

I generate options of how I can respond.

Decisions ? Attraction and Repulsion
Sometimes in decision making, our intellect fails us. Acting on Attraction or Repulsion provides the answer.

Constructive Doubt
Unsettled, disturbed, sense that something is amiss.
Remedy: Give yourself space to understand the doubt. Journal, talk out loud, discuss it with another person.

Caution: Chose a person who can listen without trying to ''fix'' you or without prescribing solutions that have worked for them. This way you can find answers suitable to you.

Doubt as a sign of evolution
Deeply disturbed. Possibilities contrary to my world view have disturbingly arisen.
Remedy: I notice my thoughts and feelings. I imagine what it would be like to embrace and live out of this new view.

Note: You may have fear about no longer believing in your old world view. You may feel lighter and excited as you contemplate the emerging new world view. The attitude of experimentation may be beneficial.

''What if I am wrong?'' - Destructive self-doubt
A feeling of fainting, of dropping out, or being beside yourself.
This is probably an attack from ''negative'' forces in your psyche.
Breathe and reaffirm your intentions, reexamining them if needed.
What am I afraid will happen? What might I lose?
Reassure yourself.

''What if I am wrong?'' Emerging constructive realization.
Relax, breathe, loosen your hold on the ideas you are holding. Intend to follow the most appropriate course of action. Honestly examine your doubt.

Perplexity mystery inspiration.
We tend to respond Perplexity or confusion by feeling distressed, get uptight, maybe worried and afraid.
If we see perplexity as the evidence of Mystery's presence, we can feel ourselves relax into ''unknowing.''
Frequently, this relaxation opens us to inspiration, bringing us encouragement and the guidance we need.

Blinded by idealism
You are having difficulty with a situation because you are unable to gather the facts needed to make an effective solution. Your thoughts may run something like this: '' But I am ________.'' ''But I thought that______________.'' ''This can't be happening because _______________''
Remedy: Clearly understand what ideals you are applying and Clearly look at the facts of the situation. Come to see what is in your power to do, and what isn't .

''I can't believe this is happening to me!''
Breathe, feel your feelings, watch your thoughts go all over the place. Remember you are not your thoughts. Your thoughts and feelings are likely to simply be reactions you have to wade through to get to helpful thinking and motivation.

Betrayal of trust
''But I trusted you!''
Get quiet. Ask yourself what exactly did I trust this person to do or not to do. You cannot trust that you will never experience hurt feelings or other unpleasantness while relating to another person. Remember we are all human. We all blunder. No one has the same thought and emotional life as you.

The events in a dream are real until you wake up
A shift in consciousness is happening. Allow the change to rework your reality. You will have different ideas come to you along with the old habitual one. Take your time to chose carefully. This is the opportunity to build a better Reality for yourself.

The following is report from a group facilitation Cindy MoonRose lead on "A Remedy for Psychic Manipulation".

Everyone who attended this meetup had at least been introduced to the Spiritual Maintenance Tools. The first thing we did was to share what our experience with those tools had been. that discussion led to other things. Then we mind mapped the topic of the day.
Mindmapping is a way of brainstorming and using both halves of the brain. We had 3 big sheets of paper and colored markers. "Remedy", "Psychic", "Manipulation" was written, one word per paper sheet, in the center of the page. We walked around, adding one word or phrase to that of other folks. This was a very interesting way to discuss the topic. You could feel the thoughtfulness and concept morphing in the room. We discussed that experience and the insights that arose from the group mindmapping.

We had called our spirits back in before that mindmapping activity.

In addition to developing our experience with soul maintenance techniques, laws of attraction, and mind mapping, we also discussed "pain bodies" and other entities that feed on negative emotion and forgiveness, conscious and unconscious manipulation... well, you just had to be there to "get" the experience we had together. Writing about it doesn't convey real well what all happened.

As we ended the facilitated portion, we all were experiencing gratitude for our lives.. I felt really good in my heart chakra! Of course talk continued over supper and clean up. I feel very well rewarded for the work I put in and so appreciate the presence and input of others in the cocreation of this experience.

How to do the Soul Maintenance Techniques by Cindy Moonrose

1. Calling your spirit back in:

use birth name and move arms intuitively pulling your spirit back in with your hands. It is good to do this out loud and with big body movements if you have the privacy to do so.

Note your thought and feelings after calling yourself back in.

The next options serve to untangle energy we have taken on.

2. Give back to a person, organization, task, God, who or whatever is bugging you.

Examples:

I give my children back their anger. I give my mother back her sickness. I give society back it's definition of success. I give my sister back her blame.

End with "And I keep what is mine." This is your statement of taking responsibility for your part in interactions and your karma.

3. Take back. Good to use when you feel ripped off, stolen from, or you realize you gave too much away.

Example: I take back my love, I take back my heart, I take back my innocence.

4. Some form of Self-forgiveness, Compassion, and Understanding. Knowing that you had reasons for doing what you did.

Pain of disconnect within self manifests as ''being hurt by others by their lack of understanding, projections, etc.''

''You just don't understand me.''

Recently during a class held to assist an intentional community, great tension arose because two members were misunderstanding each other.I see more than type of understanding.

1. Self understanding. There is no one who can understand ourselves more thoroughly than ourselves. Calling back in our spirit is maintenance we may need to perform several times a day in order to be present with ourselves.

2. Understanding communication between two or more people. We feel understood when our emotion or need is recognized by others. Again being present within ourselves helps this.

3. Carrying emotions or needs of another person. We make choices that reflect the energy (emotions or needs) of another person or we make choices that reflect our own energy.

4. Different choices yield different life experiences. The Give-Back process changes our experience, so that we are expending energy for our own benefit, which creates a higher harmony.

5. Daily practice of Calling back in our spirit and Give-back, helps us to become more sensitive to ourselves. We may become aware of missing specific qualities. Incidents in our lives that reflect upon as someone having taken our (blank), ripped off, stolen our (blank) might have a greater energetic reality than we would believe. These things may be gnawing senses, subtle thoughts that are easily briefly dismissed, but keep returning to haunt us. Things that we feel silly about taking seriously or speaking to someone else about. For instance, as an adult reflecting on how I felt sitting in the my fathers lap or my paternal grandparents laps. I recall that it felt both good and bad at the same time. Now I have come to understand that these members of my family were taking my love instead of nurturing me or even just sharing love. I did a Take back as I got in touch with the specific feeling sense of this experience in my life.

6.  Self -forgiveness is a fourth specific tool.

Doubt over a way we have been handling an aspect of our lives can be the beginning of a shift into a different way of experiencing our lives. Calling our spirit back is the first thing to do. Then to see which of the other tools, Give-back, Take-back, or Self-forgiveness will be appropriate to use.

There may be pain and a tendency to harshly judge our past as we become aware of a different way of being. Understanding that we had very good reasons for what ever choices we made in the past, given the circumstances of the past is necessary to keep our spirits present. Choosing to see the past as a book we can close the cover on as we see ourselves as play directors makes our energies available to be present in our lives today. Saying something like '' I release all the actors and actresses from acting out this specific energy or pattern of events'' completes closing that chapter in our lives, and freeing us from that aspect to be present here Now.

And? like rings in an onion or in a tree, we heal ourselves in layer. For example, we work on our family of origin issues at one level. Then a few years later, we are working on the same issues.. from a slightly different angle. It seems to go on and on?.

And there is the laws of attraction.. focus on what you want.. and do your underground foundation work of clearing the subconscious broadcast to the Universe that is yielding you stuff you don't like so much.. Ahhh, clearing past karma!
