Awakening Signs - Are you having a Spiritual Awakening?
Lets start off with thinking about "what is a spiritual awakening?" A spiritual awakening is when one becomes aware of things outside of themselves. It can come after years of living a life that is quite boring, lifeless, or even through great amounts of pain and suffering. But ultimately it comes after a turning point. A turning point is the moment that you make the conscious decision to turn your life around. A turning point can come from a physical experience or through mental self-observation, and even through an "unknown" spiritual force or experience. To begin lets examine some different examples of "Turning Points" and then we will continue on to learning more about Spiritual Awakenings and the Awakening Signs.
So turning points are what causes the beginning of a spiritual awakening, you can have many different experiences and the individual experiences begin to lead your life in a different direction. So now we will look at awakening signs and signals of Spiritual Awakening and Enlightenment.
Spiritual Awakening Signs
The above examples are a beginning understanding that all Spiritual Awakening involve some sort of change in perception. This does not mean that one will become aware of different spirits, dimensions, and etc. It simply means that one has made a subtle switch in their perception about the way they look at life. And equally important a change in the way they deal with life. Now we will talk about the different levels of Spiritual Awakenings.
Plateaus of Consciousness
As with all things, most things come gradually, one would not expect to go from being in debt to being a multi-millionaire over night. While this does happen with winning the lottery or selling an application to Google, the point is that even those things happen gradually. The main key understanding point of this is to be aware of making daily progress, the Chinese Taoist teacher Lao Zu said "The journey of one-thousand miles begins with a single step." With each step one takes in life, this is progress, and what you will find or may have already found, things plateau after progress has been made. If one starts from complete and total scratch with no spiritual experiences or connection, and continuously progresses forward, it will take approximately 1000 days. This 1000 days is called The One-Thousand Day Climb.
The One-Thousand Day Climb can be pictured as climbing a set of tens of thousands of stairs, if you keep walking, you will eventually reach the top. But what is at the top? A plateau. What lies beyond that? Another set of stairs. But one day with constant perseverance and dedication to a spiritual cause, one will wake up and the power will all be there before you, did it happen over night? Of course not, it was a gradual climb like the hour hand on a clock, it's moving, but not enough to realize until you are at a Point of Reflection.
The Point of Reflection - The Point of Reflection occurs when you are able to analyze your life from an outside perspective, but before one can do this with accuracy and clarity it requires what is called a metaphysical gap. To explain this, how easy is it to clearly analyze a relationship if you are in it? It is hard because of the proximity and the power of the emotions to see how much a relationship actually means to you, but once you are broken up and there has been the gap of time, you can either see that you truly loved that person or it wasn't right. So The Point of Reflection can come by a few different means.
All three reflection criteria have value, but perhaps time is the most significant one, because with a gap of time one can more clearly analyze things because their mind has had the opportunity to deal with it sub-consciously. Physical distance is also important because it offers the physical distance required to see the bigger picture. A good example of physical distance is with moving out of your home town, or even moving out of the country. I believe the only way to have a through understanding of people and life is to move out of the country in which you were born. At least for a year or more. Because this creates an actual point of reference that you can compare home to. If you never leave home, then you will have nothing to compare it too. So you must leave the circle for a time and then come back to it, or move on some place different to continue your journey of Spiritual Awakening.
10 Signs of a Spiritual Awakening
If you have experienced or are currently experiencing any of the above mentioned topics then the chances are, you are experiencing an awakening. Spiritual Awakening is mostly an indicator of maturing as a human and seeking to be more peaceful in your way of dealing with yourself and with others, it does not have to be and it is not always hocus pocus. Spirituality in no way indicates specialness, superiority or anything that elates anyone over others. It is infact the complete opposite, spirituality is authenticity and humbleness.
